Actively Exploited Chrome V8 Zero-Day: High-Severity Type Confusion Bug
Google has released a Chrome update to patch an actively exploited zero-day vulnerability, CVE-2026-85046, with a CVSS score of 8.8. This high-severity type confusion bug in V8, Chrome's JavaScript and WebAssembly engine, allows remote attackers to compromise user systems. The vulnerability affects Chrome versions prior to 152.0.7977.82. Organizations are advised to update Chrome immediately to prevent exploitation.
